Accessibility Statement
Last updated: [Date]
Vet Cover is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Many of our visitors are veterans and seniors, and we want every one of them to be able to use this site.
1. Our goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
2. What we do
- Use clear, high-contrast text and large, easy-to-tap buttons.
- Structure pages with proper headings so screen readers can navigate them.
- Label form fields so assistive technology can announce them.
- Keep the site usable with a keyboard alone, without a mouse.
3. Need help, or found a problem?
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible. If you have trouble using any part of this site, or if you find a page or feature that is hard to use with assistive technology, we want to know and we will help you directly:
- Call us at 202-978-5882 — we can complete the form for you over the phone or answer questions about coverage directly.
- Email thevetcover@gmail.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Please tell us the page you were on and what went wrong.
We try to respond to accessibility feedback within [number] business days.
4. Third-party content
Some parts of the site are provided by third parties (for example, our appointment scheduling calendar). We do not control their accessibility, but we are happy to help you complete those steps by phone instead.
