Do Not Call Policy

Last updated: [Date]

Vet Cover keeps an internal Do Not Call list and honors every request to stop contact. This policy explains how to be added and what happens when you ask.

1. How to opt out

You can ask us to stop calling or texting you at any time, by any of these methods:

2. What happens next

We will add your number to our internal Do Not Call list and process your request within [number — e.g. 5] business days, and in no case more than 30 days as federal law requires. Your request stays on our list for at least [number — e.g. 5] years, unless you later ask to be removed or give us new permission to contact you.

Being on our internal list means we will not make marketing calls or send marketing texts to that number. It does not stop calls or texts you specifically ask for — for example, if you submit a new form or book a call, we treat that as a new request to be contacted.

3. National Do Not Call Registry

You can also register your number for free with the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222. Note that when you submit our form, you give us permission to contact you even if your number is on that registry — but you can withdraw that permission at any time using the methods above.

4. Our practices

We train our staff and agents on this policy, keep records of Do Not Call requests, and do not share your Do Not Call status except with the service providers who help us honor it. [Confirm retention periods and training details with your lawyer.]
